Blue - Blue Blazes (AL
4819) |
Although
Blue has played and recorded with musicians ranging from
Willie Dixon to Stan Getz to Frank Zappa to Johnny Shines
to Bob Dylan, he is perhaps best known for his signature
riff and solo on the Rolling Stones' hit Miss You from
their Some Girls album. Blue performs his own version of
the song on his 1993 Alligator debut, Blue Blazes. |

In
Your Eyes (AL
4831)
|
With
In Your Eyes (AL4831), Sugar Blue emerges as a singular songwriter
as well as a harmonica wizard. Between the haunting, late-night
feel of the title track, the horn-driven, Latin-tinged Lip
Service And Lies, and the up-to-the minute, socially aware
Bottom Line, Sugar takes the harmonica - and the blues -
beyond previously recognized limits. |
